With a newborn baby, our clients had their family come over for an extended stay. The family needed their own private respite, while also staying close to help with the baby.
Our brief was to transform our client’s guest house from an unused and forgotten space into a welcoming and functional studio apartment. Given the parameters we wanted the family to feel like they had a spacious place to recharge, even though it was still a small single-room apartment.
We carved out dedicated spaces within the apartment, ensuring each one served a functional purpose, while maintaining a comfortable and beautiful feel. We created a seating area for watching their favourite shows, an eating area for their meals away from the main house, and an office area for fitting in some work when they had the spare time.
Our functional design helped maximize the space, while delivering a warm home-away-from-home for the loving family.
